Robot Delivery in Jersey City

Wonder and Grubhub launched an autonomous robot delivery pilot at the Jersey City Grove Street location (350 Grove St) in late 2025. It's the first time Grubhub has offered robot delivery outside of college campuses, and the first time Wonder has used robots at all.

The robots are made by Avride, an Austin-based autonomous vehicle startup. They use AI-powered navigation to handle Jersey City's dense sidewalks and can make 180-degree turns. When you order from Wonder via the Grubhub app in JC, you'll see "robot delivery" as an option at checkout if your address is in range.

How it works: Wonder staff prepare your food and load it into the robot's compartment. The robot navigates to your address, you unlock it through the app, grab your food, and close the lid. The robot drives itself back to Wonder for the next delivery.
